Selena is planning to augment its production capacity. The company has just completed its expansion of the Libra adhesives and sealants plant in Dzierzoniow.
Within the framework of the project the investor added new technological and technical features (including a reactor for producing glues and sealants and three automated production lines together with a packing system). It also increased its warehouse space (a high-storage warehouse 5,000 m² in size), which has boosted the complex output capacity by 40%. The project, which Selena launched in view of an expected upswing in demand for glues and sealants, required capital expenditure of PLN 11m (€2.6m).
Selena anticipates both higher sales and output in 2011-2014, as a consequence of which the company's board believed it necessary to boost its output capacity. In addition, Selena intends to steadily strengthen its position on the market, and with this objective in mind it is investing in broadening its assortment and developing innovative solutions. Simultaneously, it is taking steps to improve its efficiency by optimising its logistics and production processes.
