Consultations in progress over Vistula investment

The concern
Energa has initiated a round of social consultations regarding the location of a planned barrage and a hydroelectric power station on the Vistula, the company announced in a recent statement.
Potential locations for the new barrage include Nieszawa in Nieszawa municipality, Przypust in Waganiec municipality, Siarzewo I and Siarzewo II in Raciazek municipality as well as Wloclawek parallel to Hutnicza Street. According to the project specifications, the water-generated power station will have a capacity of 80-100 MW, although a final decision on this matter has not yet been made. The undertaking will require estimated expenditure of approximately PLN 2.5bn (€594m), and according to the project timetable the investment is to be completed by around 2017.
