Solar thermal power station in Malopolska

The authorities of the municipality of Wierzchoslawice in Malopolska region intend to build Poland's first ever solar-generated power station. The local government has applied to a Swiss fund for a subsidy of PLN 40m (€9.4m) for this purpose,
Gazeta Krakowska reported.
According to its current plans, the station will be located in the village of Rudka. It will be fitted with 8,000 solar panels and will convert solar energy into electricity. It will process roughly 1.8 MW of energy which in turn will be sold to an energy plant.
