The General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has just announced a tender to choose a contractor to build the 41 km section of the A4 motorway between Rzeszow East junction and the town of Jaroslaw. The deadline for submitting bids is 8 December this year and the road is to be ready for traffic before the commencement of Euro 2012. The chief criteria to be considered in the tender are price and the duration of the guarantee provided by the contractor.
Nine firms have submitted bids in a tender to build an approx. 7 km section of the A4 motorway between the Rzeszow Central and Rzeszow East junctions, which will form part of the city's northern bypass. The cheapest of the bids, which have just been opened, is approx. PLN 392m (€95.6m), and the most expensive – PLN 684m (€166.8m).
The city of Lodz wants to borrow PLN 300m (€73.2m) from the European Investment Bank. The money will be transferred to the city's coffers in tranches in 2009-2010 and will help finance, among other things, local road infrastructure and cover the city's planned budget deficit. Lodz has until 2031 to pay off the loan.
Plans are being considered for a possible cable railway in Opole. Initially, the city intends to set up a research centre and test section of the railway. The undertaking is set to cost roughly PLN 30m (€7.3m), with EU sources contributing PLN 22m (€5.4m) of this total. The cable railway would help ease traffic congestion in the city.
A "Stary Las" Municipal Waste Utilisation Plant is to be built in Stargard Szczecinski. The contractors for the undertaking will be
Korporacja Budowlana Doraco and the company
Ecoservice Przedsiebiorstwo Budowlane. The investment will require outlays in the region of PLN 115.5m (€28.2m), approx. PLN 71m (€17.3m) of which will be allocated from EU sources. The investment is slated for completion by 2013.
A sports arena is to be built in Szczecin. The complex will consist of three parts: a main hall, an office-commercial section, and a sports-recreation building. A restricted tender has just been announced to find a contractor for the project. The investment will take 36 months to complete from the day a contract is signed with the victor of the tender.
On 5 November the final touches were added to the Lubicz 2 Office Centre on Lubicz Street in Krakow. It is the second office project completed by
CBL. Lubicz 2 Office Centre is a seven-storey structure with an additional floor underground, which will mainly be used for parking functions. The building has a total floor area of 8,500 m², 6,000 m² of which will be available for rent. The developer responsible for the project was
Polonia Property Fund I, and the general contractor -
Krakbau.
Fenix Capital is to revitalise an historic spinning mill on Lodz's Zeligowskiego Street. In stage one of the project the investor will create 3,800 m² of office space in the existing interiors. In stage two it will put up a new building with 5,000 m² of space. The entire investment is slated for completion by Q2 2011.
The
Diament hotel chain intends to enlarge its hotel in Katowice. The upgrade will add another 87 rooms to the hotel to bring the total up to 190. The newly enlarged hotel will also include a conference centre, a bar and a fitness centre. The expansion work is slated for completion by March 2010.
The company
PointPark Properties intends to build two more warehouses on the site of its logistics park in Mszczonow. The company has just obtained a construction permit for the undertaking. The faciliites will have a combined floor area of 66,000 m².
Marvipol is to build a new estate in the vicinity of Bernardynska Street in Warsaw. The general contractor for the investment, dubbed "Apartamenty Mokotow Park", is
Eiffage Budownictwo Mitex. A total of 134 flats will be built in stage 1 of the investment, which will be equipped with an underground garage. The deadline pencilled in for completing the investment, set to cost approx. PLN 32m (€7.8m), is July 2011.
A total of 320 new flats will be built in a series of multi-family buildings in Siedlce. The local authorities have just announced a tender to find a contractor to design, build and finance the investment, which is calculated to cost PLN 83.2m (€20.3m). The contractor will contribute the funds for the investment and the town will pay back the sum invested for the next fifteen years. Bids will be accepted up to 17 December.
The
Polnord group
found buyers for 155 of its flats in Q3 2009, but after cancellations are taken into account the gross total is 116 units. This means that the firm's sales remain similar to its Q2 figures. The majority of annuled contacts concerned flats sold by
Fadesa Polnord in Warsaw's Wilanow district .
The Financial Supervisory Authority has given its blessing to an issue prospectus submitted by the real estate agency
AD. Dragowski in connection with a planned public offering of ordinary D series shares. The company plans to float up to 2 million ordinary D series bearer shares as well as 2 million rights to D series shares and 400,000 pre-emptive rights to D series shares. The brokerage house DM BOS will be responsible for organising the issue.
Lafarge Cement and
Dyckerhoff Polska will set up a new company on the building materials market. The Office for Competition and Consumer Protection has just given its consent. The new business will specialise in sales of granulated blast surface slag.
Hormann has launched sales of a new range of garage doors with a Micrograin surface. The sectional doors are made of steel with a new type of horizontally pressed surface. The doors are available in white as well as in 12 other colours from the RAL palette.
