In the opinion of Stolbud's authorities, the present sluggish state of the market is due to both declining investments from private investors and the suspension six months ago of a large number of developer projects. To cope with domestic stagnation it is endeavouring to diversify its operations abroad. This strategy appears to be bearing fruit as the company
Stolbud Czechy is beginning to enjoy high revenues. The producer intends to develop similar trading structures in other countries, including in Russia, Slovakia, and Germany. Stolbud's senior management is hoping to boost the share of exports in its total revenue structure from 5% at present to 30% in 2010. It is also undergoing a period of restructuring and wants to broaden its product range – at the end of 2009 or the beginning of 2010 it will enrich its assortment with new products and reduce the prices of its current range.
