Makrum building up group

Makrum, a
manufacturer of steel structures, is considering expanding its group by incorporating more firms in the first half of 2010, according to
Parkiet.
The company is currently involved in negotiations with two businesses in financial straits due to currency options. Makrum intends to finance these
acquisitions with, among other things, cash from a planned issue of new shares - it may raise its share capital by a maximum of PLN 7.8m (€1.9m). The company likewise intends to relocate its steel structure production plant outside Bydgoszcz and build a large multi-purpose complex on a 9 ha site. The complex will include retail space (approx. 75,000 m²), offices, hotels and entertainment facilities. The undertaking will be built by a special-purpose vehicle set up for this task and it will cost an estimated PLN 500m (122.2m). The construction work will begin at the end of 2011 or the beginning of 2012.
