Technology park to appear in Bialystok
2010-02-08
The local authorities in Bialystok are planning to build a Bialystok Park of Science and Technology on a site around Borsucza, Mysliwska and Zurawia Streets. The undertaking is due to get underway in the second half of 2010.
The park will cover a 7 ha site and consist of two buildings hosting firms active in the business and new technology sectors. The first of these buildings will serve as the seat of a Technology Incubator and will contain logistics space, conference rooms and offices for rent. In turn, the second building will house a Technology Centre in which specialists will create science and research programmes, as well as a Data Processing Centre, whose tele-information and information functions will be performed by firms active in the complex.
The project is estimated to be worth PLN 140m (€34.3m). Both buildings will boast a combined floor area exceeding 13,000 m² and the construction work should be completed by 2012.
