A total of 21 firms have entered a tender to build the Gdansk Business Incubator. The most attractive bid, i.e. approx. PLN 27.5m (€6.7m), was submitted by
Skanska. The incubator will consist of an office building with a conference-training wing and underground garage on Leborska Street with a total surface area exceeding 11,200 m². The investment will take 25 months to complete.
Polimex-Mostostal, will issue close to 57.4 million K series shares as part of its planned amalgamation with its subsidiaries. Polimex share capital will increase from around PLN 18.6m (€4.6m) to almost PLN 20.9m (€5.1m). The company's shareholders will vote on the proposed merger on 26 February 2010.
Prestige Budownictwo is planning to build a housing complex on Warsaw's Dolanowska Street. The general contractor for the undertaking is the firm
Unibep, which will be paid almost PLN 19.6m (€4.8m) for its services. The complex will consist of a building with its own underground parking garage. It will contain 117 flats and four commercial premises. The investment will be completed by August 2011.
Jastrzebie-Zdroj is planning to construct a road that will link Pszczynska Street with the Mszana motorway junction. The city plans to organise a tender for the undertaking in the near future. The road will be 3.35 km in length and include, among other things, three intersections and two flyovers. The estimated cost of the investment is PLN 75-85m (€18.4-20.8m).
Krynica-Zdroj intends to invest PLN 10.7m (€2.6m) in a water-waste treatment programme. The programme involves constructing more than 14 km of water and sewage pipes. The local government has just announced a tender to choose a contractor for the undertaking. The project will be partly financed from EU sources. The deadline for submitting bids in the tender is 9 March 2010.
Roben has changed the name of its ceramic porous air bricks from Poroton to Thermopor. The bricks will continue to bear the latter name until the end of 2010 . However, the properties, sizes and types will remain the same.
Unibep will not erect an apartment building in Sochi in Russia. The planned investment, worth €109.5m, concerned the construction of five residential units. The principal to the contract was the company
Oazisi. Unibep has terminated its contract with the latter.
Grupa Armatura has broadened its assortment to include a new series of mixers called Diament. They will form part of its Premium Class collection, which features top quality products with unique designs. The products are hand polished and include bath, shower, washbasin, sink and bidet mixers.
Goodman intends to build a multi-purpose complex called Cracow Airport Logistic Centre on Komandosow Street in the Krakow suburb of Modlniczka. The centre will contain halls with a total floor area of around 150,000 m². It will feature warehouse, production, commercial and office space as well as serve as the headquarters of 20-25 firms from different branches.
Grupa Polska Stal has absorbed
Rolmet Kowalski Fraczek, a company with its headquarters in Kazimierza Wielka. The company, which is active in Swietokrzyskie and Mazowieckie voivodships, is a wholesaler of steel products, including hot rolled and coated sections and plates.
A consortium comprising
Budimex and
Ferrovial Agroman put in the best bid in a tender to revitalise the historic building of Wroclaw Central Railway Station. The plan is to restore the station building and overhaul the existing railway infrastructure. The consortium quoted a price of PLN 265.7m (€65.1m).
The company
Libra Projekt has bought real estate at the corner of Tuwima and Sikorskiego Streets in Olsztyn from the University of Warmia and Mazury. The company plans to build a shopping centre called Galeria Warminska on the site of the university. In turn, the college plans to use the cash from the sale on building a swimming pool.

Arkema group, in collaboration with
ThyssenKrupp Energostal, has launched sales of blocks and acrylic coated tiles under the Oroglas brand. These materials are used in industry, construction, the furniture and interior decorating branches, and in the visual communications sector, including in the production of signboards and notice boards.
The company
Wroclaw 2012 has initiated the process of handing over control of the construction site of the future Wroclaw football stadium to
Max Boegl. Earlier the city had formally taken over the site (on the basis of a court ruling) from the previous contractor –
Mostostal Warszawa. According to the agreed-upon timetable, the stadium is to be in place by the end of June 2011.
Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego announced that in January 2010 nearly 2,300 mortgages were awarded within the framework of the government's "A Family's Own Home" programme worth the combined sum of PLN 421.4m (€103.3m). In 2009 as a whole a total of just under 31,000 such loans were issued, with a total value of around PLN 5.42bn (€1.32bn).
