Lifestyle shopping centre in Wodzislaw?
2010-02-08
A local property developer intends to put up a building in the centre of Wodzislaw Slaski which will combine both retail and public functions, thereby creating the first ever lifestyle shopping centre in Poland, according to
Gazeta Wyborcza.
The centre will be located on a plot close to 2,000 m² in size and located between the town square and park, the concert hall and museum. It will consist of two buildings connected with one another by an open, unroofed passageway. The centre will include shops, service outlets, cafes and restaurants as well as offices and a hotel. Unlike traditional retail complexes the centre will be open and accessible to local residents 24 hours a day and the local authorities are hoping it will attract various social events or happenings that combine commercial and public space. The undertaking will be completed before the end of the year.
