Reduced heat transfer coefficient for Pilkington windows
2010-03-01
Pilkington has introduced a solar control glass called Pilkington Suncool which boasts a lower heat transfer coefficient.
The coefficient of solar control products and self-cleaning glass is 1.0 W/m
2 K. This makes it possible to use argon-filled single glazing systems instead of double-glazing models. The glass offers protection against solar radiation and ensures high thermal insulation parametres. Each product is available in treated, annealed and laminated versions and the new properties have not changed the appearance of the company's glass products, which are suitable for both commercial and residential buildings.
