The property developer
Wikana is planning to launch 16 new residential investments (representing a total of 575 flats) in 2010, we read in
Parkiet.
Wikana found buyers for 320 flats in 2009 and the company's senior management is hoping that in the next two years it will manage to sell roughly 1,500 units. The majority of its planned projects will be built on the Zamosc, Lublin and Rzeszow markets, which are its principal areas of operation. The company also wants to enter cities in south-east Poland – in H1 2010 it will begin selling flats in Krosno.
At the same time Wikana's senior management plans to launch a number of commercial investments. It intends to begin building a warehouse-office complex in Lublin this year, which will operate in the Special Economic Zone Euro-Park Mielec. The company has also not ruled out the possibility of expanding the group to include new businesses – Wikana is interested in either acquiring a project management office or a business specialising in real estate management.
