Mirbud hoping to maintain profit levels
2010-03-02
Mirbud is hoping that its profitability in 2010-2011 will be similar to what it achieved last year, we read in
Parkiet.
The company's senior management believes that maintaining its margins at hitherto levels will be possible because it has made a concerted effort to target contracts scheduled for this year or next. Mirbud is currently competing in tenders in which production costs are expected to grow by roughly 5%. The company's portfolio includes orders with a combined value of around PLN 250m (€63.6m) and in the near future it also hopes to win a contract to build an exhibition hall in Lodz. The latter contract is worth in excess of PLN 30m (€7.6m). Mirbud's board is hoping that revenues will rise this year to PLN 300m (€76.3m), which will be possible thanks to, among other things, consolidating its results with the Kobylarnia-based firm
Przedsiebiorstwo Budowy Drog i Mostow,
which it recently acquired.
