Fair centre envisaged for Krakow

Targi w Krakowie is planning to build a new fair-conference centre on Centralna Street. The complex will be located on the site of the old Prefabet factory complex in Krakow's Czyzyny district,
Gazeta Wyborcza reported.
Cracovia Expo, as the centre has been dubbed, will comprise three exhibition halls with total floor space of 18,000 m² and they will house, among other things, an auditorium-amphitheatre accommodating up to 1,800 people. as well as conference rooms, office space, cloakrooms, a foyer, a lobby and reception. In addition, guests will have access to an external car park with room for around 1,000 vehicles. The investor is also considering building a hotel in the future. The project will cost an estimated PLN 120-140m (€30.5-35.6m), and if everything goes according to plan the construction work will commence before the end of the year.
