Ikea investing in Czestochowa

Inter Ikea Centre Polska is planning to build a store and shopping centre in Czestochowa.
The furniture store and commercial-retail complex, boasting a total floor area of approx. 120,000 m², will stand on a plot approx. 30 ha in size. The company is currently preparing a timetable for the investment.
Moreover, in accordance with an agreement signed with the city authorities, the Swedish concern will also bear part of the construction costs of Czestochowa's planned north bypass. It will contribute more than PLN 45m (€11.5m) to the project, which as a whole is worth around €150m. The complex will provide employment for roughly 2,000 people.
