The University School of Physical Education (AWF) intends to construct an indoor swimming pool complex with training facilities in Krakow. The undertaking, which will be carried out by the general contractor ABM Solid, will cost close to PLN 20m and 70% of the cash required for the project will be assigned from EU funds.
The pools in the complex will have a combined water-surface area of 6,900 m² and include an eight-lane pool, a pool for rehabilitation and teaching purposes, a hall equipped with a training channel as well as lecture halls and social amenities. The undertaking will also entail building R&D infrastructure for the needs of AWF. The construction work is due to begin in the coming weeks and last until December 2011.
