Concert hall to be built in Suwalki
2010-03-11
Suwalki's local administration has unveiled plans for a new concert-theatre hall in the town. The investment will be partly financed with an EU subsidy of PLN 20m (€5.1m), PAP reported.
The hall will have a total floor area of 6,500 m², which will be able to hold audiences of up to 700. In addition, a culture centre and an art gallery will be put up in the immediate vicinity. A tender to choose a contractor for the undertaking will be held in April. The construction work itself will get underway in Q3 this year and take until 2012 to complete.
