New biogas plant near Kielce
2010-04-13
Elektrocieplownia Bartos is planning to set up a biogas facility in Piekoszow not far from Kielce. The investment will require expenditure in the region of PLN 16m (€4.1m), PLN 11m (€2.9m) of which will come from EU sources, PAP reported.
The plant will produce energy from biological waste. The waste will be broken down and the methane separated through this process will be used to power a co-generator that in turn will produce heat and electricity. The facility will be equipped with a distribution network, thanks to which the energy will be supplied directly to the end recipients. The plant will achieve full production capacity by the end of 2010.
