Zycie Warszawy.
The Association of Polish Architects (SARP) has just announced the winners of a competition to develop 10 ha of land in the area around Zwirki i Wigury Street. According to SARP, the best idea, called Chopin Airport City, was prepared by the studio JEMS Architekci. This concept envisages a complex of 10 buildings arranged around a planned Chopin Park and a city square with pond. The buildings will contain office, hotel and conference space and boast a total floor area of approximately 250,000 m². The complex will also have its own multi-storey car park with room for roughly 9,000 vehicles. The investment will take a dozen or so years to complete and the winning studio must now prepare a draft version of a local development plan for the area.
