PBG Group interested in PPP projects
2010-04-13
Hydrobudowa Polska, a company of the
PBG Group, plans to bid for local government commissions executable as private-public partnerships (PPP),
Puls Biznesu reported.
Among projects that the firm is interested in are the construction of a municipal stadium in Szczecin; the project has been estimated at PLN 214-410m (€55.3-105.9m) . Hydrobudowa Polska is already executing sports facilities in Gdansk and Poznan; and its parent company – a stadium in Warsaw. Meanwhile,
PBG is interested in the building of a waste combustion plant in Poznan within the framework of a public private partnership – the price tag of the project has been estimated at PLN 640m (€165.4m). The company is also considering the possibility of building underground parking lots, which it would later administrate.
In the opinion of Hydrobudowa’s management, the development of PPPs in 2010 was hampered by the upcoming local government elections and the related uncertainty of the future plans of the new local authorities.
