Baumit adds final touches to new plant

The construction materials producer Baumit has almost completed the construction of a fourth plant in Poland, which will turn out plaster mixes, gypsum, paint, plaster mortar, and adhesive mortar. The facility will have a production capacity of 250,000 tonnes of materials a year and is located in the town of Pobiedziska near Poznan. The official opening of the new factory is scheduled for May 2011 and it will eventually have a workforce of 100 people.
The new plant will bolster Baumit's position in Poland where it already operates a number of production units, i.e. in Lowicz, Belchatow and Piotrkow Trybunalski.
