The bypass will form part of the S14 express road. It will connect national road No. 14 in the area around the village of Dobron with the roundabout on Pabianicka Street in Lodz. The deadline set for completing the undertaking is November 2011 and the investment will cost PLN 513.7m (€131.7m). The general contractor for the project is a consortium headed by the company
Hermann Kirchner Polska. In the future, the bypass will connect the S8 express road with the A2 motorway and national road No. 1 near Emilia, thereby creating an eastern bypass around Lodz.
