2010-08-19

A number of new investments are in the pipeline in the Kamienna Gora Special Economic Zone for Small Business. In total they will create around 200 new jobs.
In Kamienna Gora itself the company PPHU Andy intends to build a production plant for textile insulation materials designed for power stations and combined heat and power stations in Poland, Germany, Italy and Iran. The factory will be built on Magazynowa Street and it is expected to begin operating in 2015. In turn, in Jelenia Gora the company Plast is planning to establish a new production unit on Spoldzielcza Street in the vicinity of its existing plant. The factory will turn out household items made of plastic. Meanwhile the company Contur 2000 is planning an investment on a 1.6 ha plot in the town of Luban. By 2014 it plans to erect a complex there in which it will turn out prosthetic appliances, as well as medical equipment and machines. On the other hand Enforest intends to build a factory equipped with production lines for processing biomass from waste wood. The plant will be erected on a 2.7 ha site and the assembly lines are due to begin rolling towards the end of next year. Meanwhile, another transport-logistics firm intends to put up its own complex in Nowogrodziec. The investment will be located on a 2 ha site and will cost an estimated PLN 4m (€1m). The construction work will take 12 months and the centre will service countries in the European Union.
