Work begins on power unit in Bielsko-Biala

Tauron has begun
constructing a new power unit on the site of the Bielsko-Biala Combined Heat and Power Plant. The foundation stone laying ceremony has just taken place for the project.
The unit will have a power output capacity of 50 MW and a heat generating capacity of 106 MW. The investment is expected to be completed by midway through 2013. The project is part of Tauron's broader strategy of launching the construction of new power units with a combined power generating capacity of approximately 3 GW by 2012.
