New bonding system for elevation panels
2010-08-23
The company
Soudal has broadened its product range to include a new invisible bonding system for elevation panels called Soudal Panel System.
The system ensures permanent and easy bonding of interior and exterior wall panels. It consist of an elastic glue, preparations for activating the base, an agent for priming and increasing adhesion , and a two sided adhesive tape for assembly purposes. With no need to apply rivets or screws it gives the effect of an invisible bond. In turn, applying the glue along the entire length of the joint rather than at points helps improve the distribution of dynamic stress. In this way it prevents vibrations being transferred to the construction of the building and limits the impact of changes in temperature on the elevation panels. Moreover, the invisible connections help ensure a smooth surface on the elevations, which in turn makes it easier to keep them clean. The system makes it possible to bond laminate or fibre-glass cement panels to a supporting sub-structure made of aluminium, steel sections or wooden slats, as well as natural stone or ceramic tile panels to aluminium sections
