Fishing harbour in Hel to be expanded

The Maritime Office in Gdynia is planning to expand the sea fishing harbour in Kuznica in Hel Peninsula. A tender has been announced to find a contractor for the undertaking.
The investment will involve building new breakwaters, a harbour master's office and mooring piers, and the existing jetty will be renovated. The undertaking will cost in excess of PLN 27m (€6.9m) and the deadline for submitting bids in the open tender is 30 September 2010. The contractor will have 18 months to complete the project from the moment the contract was signed.
