In H1 2010 buyers had to pay €225-463 for one square metre of a residential development plot in Warsaw depending on the location, according to data from Colliers International. The equivalent price per m² in Krakow was €250, in Wroclaw €240, in the Tri-City area €200, in Poznan €190, in Lodz €150 and in Upper Silesia €130.

The property developer Marvipol intends to issue up to 20,000 ordinary bearer bonds, with a total value of up to PLN 20m (€5.1m). The bonds will mature on 30 August 2013.

The Ministry of Treasury intends to put up for sale 85% of the shares in Zaklady Wykonawstwa Sieci Elektrycznych Bialystok. The company specialises in the construction and renovation of overhead lines, cable lines, transformer stations, electrical installations, masts and street lighting. The deadline for submitting bids is 14 September.

The company ABM Solid intends to issue 400 A series bearer bonds with a nominal value of PLN 100,000 (€25,641) each. The naked debentures will only be offered on the market if subscriptions worth at least PLN 12m (€3m) are received by 30 September. A final decision on the issue will be made at the company's AGM on 8 September.

Centrum Kultury Zamek Krzyzacki is planning to renovate and modernise the Teutonic Knights Castle in Torun. The institution announced an open tender to choose a contractor to carry out the conservation and renovation work. The company will also be responsible for installing heating and a system needed to stage multi-media showings and exhibitions. The deadline for submitting bids is 7 September 2010.

Zaklad Utylizacji Odpadow Stalych has just announced a a tender for the design and construction of a waste neutralisation plant in Tczew, the construction of a transshipment station in Stegna and a unit for processing construction waste in Pelplin. The deadline for submitting bids is 30 September this year and the investment will take 35 months to complete from the day the contract is signed.

Cersanit has sent the Financial Supervisory Authority its share prospectus, which is a mandatory step before the company can organise a public share offering. A total of 72.1 million G series shares will be issued with preemption rights. They will represent 33.3% of the company's increased share capital. Cersanit is hoping to earn approximately PLN 151.5m (€38.8m) via this channel, which it intends to spend on working capital.

The company Skotan is planning to build a production plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice. The factory will produce nutrient yeast. The investment will require an estimated budget of over PLN 10m (€2.5m) and the design and general contractor tasks have been assigned to the company Awbud Design & Build. The scheduled opening date for the facility is Q1 2011.

The company Citronex is planning to put up a three-star hotel on Pilsudskiego Square in Wroclaw. It will stand on the site of the Agora Culture Centre. Within the framework of the project the investor will modernise the three-storey Agora tenement building, which has an approximate floor area of 2,200 m². The investment is set to get underway this year and the work will take 12 months to complete.

The Outlet Company, which is owned by Liebrecht & wooD, has sold to the firm Polonia Property Funds II the second stage of the Fashion House Outlet Centre in Gdansk. The fund already owns the first part of the 10,000 m² project, which was completed in 2008. The second part contains 7,000 m² of retail space and was completed in November 2009. A total of 50 stores currently operate in it.

Construction work has begun on the central section of the second metro line in Warsaw. According to the project timetable, in the first half of September this year Prosta Street along the section between Towarowa and Karolkowa Streets will be closed to traffic. At the beginning of the construction work trees and bushes will be removed and then the launch shaft will be built for the Daszynskiego roundabout station.

Olsztyn is preparing a series of investments in local water and waste water management. The projects will involve modernising sanitary sewage and drainage infrastructure, as well as overhauling two pumping stations. The city has been awarded more than PLN 11.5m (€2.9m) in EU financing for the project.

The Ministry of Treasury failed to sell a 26.4% stake in the share capital of Kopalnia Surowcow Mineralnych "Kosmin” in Wroclaw. The starting price for the share package was over PLN 26.4m (€6.7m). The auction was called off because of a lack of interest from investors.

Megaron, a producer and distributor of construction chemicals, has submitted its share prospectus to the Financial Supervisory Authority. The company's senior management is hoping to make between several and a dozen or so million zloty from the offering, which it wants to spend on, among other things, innovations and expanding the enterprise's production capability.

The Ministry of Treasury and Dolnoslaskie Surowce Skalne (DSS) have initialled a draft contract for the sale of 85% of the shares in Kopalnie Surowcow Skalnych. Moreover, one of the companies from the DSS group, Surowce Skalne Wschod, has obtained exclusive negotiating rights to acquire shares in Kieleckie Kopalnie Surowcow Mineralnych.

The city's authorities are planning to build a Gdansk Shakespeare Theatre. A tender has just been announced for the project, which will cost an estimated PLN 80m (€20.5m). The tender will be a restricted procedure and the main criterion for choosing the winner will be price. The theatre is expected to be ready for its first performances by 2012 and the deadline for submitting tenders is 20 September.

The company Strabag has obtained a construction permit to build Services Stations and Toll Collection Points on a fragment of the A2 motorway. The facilities will be located in the area around Brwinow and are to be ready by the time this section of the road opens, i.e. in June 2012.
