Prices rising for finishing materials
2010-08-23
Market prices of finishing materials were more expensive in July 2010. The rates charged for finishing services were also dearer, according to
Rzeczpospolita.
Last month prices of ceramic tiles and kitchen and bathroom fittings and furnishings inched up 2% compared with June. On the other hand, prices of cement and lime (-5%) as well as paint, varnishes and wallpaper (-0.5%) declined. In July this year demand for finishing materials rose by 5-10% in relation to June.
In July customers had to pay 2-5% more for finishing services although rates still remain lower than a year ago. The market will probably begin to pick up after the summer holiday period, when investors will be completing the construction stage of their projects and beginning the process of finishing interiors.
