Intrall setting up factory in Poland?
2010-08-23
The Russian firm
Intrall is considering the idea of building a production facility on the Polish coast. It would be built on a site within the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, PAP reported.
The factory, which will turn out delivery vehicles, may be erected in the old Gdynia Shipyard or the Szczecin Shipyard. The investment could create up to a 1,000 new jobs.
This is not the company's first ever project in Poland. In 2003 the company Intrall Polska bought from the receiver of
Daewoo Motor Polska the rights to manufacture Lublin delivery vehicles as well as the equipment needed to produce them. However, in 2007 the company was declared bankrupt.
