Stretch of S3 road set to cost PLN 913m

The National Road Fund will spend PLN 913m (€228.8m) on constructing a 43 km fragment of the S3 express road from Sulechow to Miedzyrzecz. The investment is to be finished by the spring of 2013.
The undertaking has been divided into three stages, which will be carried out simultaneously. The first of these sections, Miedzyrzecz-Swiebodzin Polnoc up to the A2 motorway, will be 17 km in length, and the task of building it has been entrusted to
Mota Engil Central Europe. The second fragment – the Swiebodzin bypass – is to be the responsibility of the company
Hermann Kirchner. The third 18.5 km stage will run between Swiebodzin and Sulechow. The task of carrying out this stage of the investment has been entrusted to the company
Budimex. All the contractors have 24 months to complete their contracts, excluding the winter months.
