Silesia City Center to be expanded
2010-08-27
The Austrian company
Immofinanz Group is planning to enlarge the Silesia City Center shopping-entertainment complex in Katowice.
According to the plans announced by the investor, the centre's total floor area will rise from 65,000 m² at present to 86,000 m². It wants to put up a new structure that will be stylistically modelled on the existing buildings. Around 60 new shops will do business in its interior, including those operated by brands that are still not present in the region. The estimated cost of enlarging the complex will come to approximately €50m. The undertaking is slated to get underway before the end of the year and is scheduled for completion in Q3 2011.
