Unibep: sales up by 70% in H1 2010
2010-08-30
Unibep reported improved financial performance in H1 2010. The company's sales revenue jumped by 70% to PLN 286.2m (€71.9m), while net profit rose by 13% year on year to PLN 8.6m, as reported by
Parkiet.
Concurrently, net margin fell from 4.65% to 3%. In the opinion of the company's senior management, this decline was caused by the performance of two new areas, i.e. the road construction segment and the production segment (modular homes). These segments have not yet managed to achieve satisfying sales results. However, they are expected to start operating in the black already in H2 2010.
This year's financial guidance targets for net profit of PLN 22m (€5.5m) on revenue of PLN 680m (€170.9m). The company's senior management is of the opinion that the company will meet the financial targets. Unibep is also working on filling up its order book for 2011; the value of orders for H2 2010 and the years 2011-2012 amounts to PLN 1.1bn (€276.4m) at the moment. Negotiations are underway concerning further contracts worth around PLN 800m (€201m); additionally, the company also expects to execute contracts with the value of at least PLN 100m (€25.1m) by the end of the year.
