Merger of Konsorcjum Stali and Bowim given green light
2010-08-30
The Office for Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has given its consent for the companies
Konsorcjum Stali and
Bowim to merge.
The process will entail Bowim transferring its entire assets to Konsorcjum Stali, which in exchange will issue new shares to Bowim's stockholders. For Konsorcjum Stali, which specialises in the distribution of construction steel and the production of construction reinforcements and steel structures, the unification with Bowim will create opportunities for entering new, interesting markets. On the other hand, Bowim, which mainly sells flat products, pipes and hot rolled sections, and also supplies steel mill products, will be able to, among other things, broaden its assortment to include new items.
