Opatkowice junction under renovation

Modernisation work has begun on slip roads at the Opatkowice motorway junction in Malopolskie region. The task of carrying out the project, which will cost PLN 8.5m (€2.1m), has been entrusted to the firm Mosty-Chrzanow, PAP reported.
Within the framework of the project the contractor will renovate slip roads in the direction of Tarnow-Zakopane and Zakopane-Katowice at the junction where the A4 motorway connects with national road No. 7. The contractor will also be responsible for revamping culverts and three flyovers. The deadline set for completing the project is August 2011.
