Marina envisaged for Bydgoszcz

Bydgoszcz's local government is planning to revitalise sports land and build a yacht marina on Mill Island (Wyspa Mlynska). A tender has just been announced to choose a contractor for the undertaking.
The plan is to demolish the existing buildings and construct a marina with an accommodation base. It will boast a total floor area of 2,000 m². The contractor will likewise be responsible for building access routes to the marina, pavements, parking facilities and planting new greenery. There are also plans to build an approach road from Tamka Street and reconstruct the right bank of the River Brda from Focha Street up to Rother's Mills. The investment is to be completed within 18 months of the day an agreement is signed with the contractor. The architectural design for the project was prepared by the Warsaw-based studio Laboratorium Projektowe ZIWA Tomasz Rokicki.
