Moebius Bau Polska of Szczecin at the helm, PAP disclosed.
The authorities would like to reconstruct around 3 km of the beach. Plans provide for the construction of an underground ramp 120-150 m from the shore, designed to muffle the impact of sea waves. System of 35 spurs 110 m in length each is to be built as well, to gather sand brought in by sea currents from the nearshore zone. The beach will be augmented with around 700,000 m
3 of sand from the sea bottom. The investment will cost PLN 54.6m (€13.9m), and the project will be partially financed by the EU as part of the Infrastructure and Environment Programme. The project is to be completed in March 2012.
