New terminal in Jasionka in 2012

The management of Rzeszow-Jasionka airport has concluded an agreement with
Skanska to construct a passenger terminal, to be commissioned for use before Euro 2012,
Gazeta Wyborcza disclosed.
Investment plans envisage the construction of a passenger terminal with capacity of 700 travellers per hour. The T-shaped terminal will have three storeys and one underground level; some of the facility will also have a cellar level. In all, the terminal will have approx. 13,900 m² of useable space. The contrator has also been asked to mount lighting and construct all the necessary secondary infrastructure.
The terminal's construction will cost close to PLN 100m (€25.5m). Work should commence in the coming weeks and be completed in 2012.
Currently, work is underway at the airport on a taxi apron, as well as the apron to be used for plane de-icing. The investments, also being executed by Skanska, have a combined price tag of PLN 35m (€8.9m) and are to be completed by May 2011.
