The Russian construction and mining machinery market 2007 - May 2007

The Construction and Mining Machinery market in Russia is going to continue to grow strongly for the next 3-5 years if not longer. The market for construction machinery was worth $2.1bn in 2006, and is estimated by PMR to be growing between 10-25% per year. Many companies in Russia report sales up 40 to 120% in 2006. For competitive international companies large and growing markets such as Russia are of great importance, even when their scale is not yet as large as the bigger advanced industrial economies. Having said that it is already the case that of the BRICs, China is now the second largest market in the world for an increasingly long list of products.
