Russian cement industry calls for substantial investment - November 2007

Russia’s cement market is undergoing rapid growth, spurred on by the country’s booming construction industry. Last year the market increased to over 52 million tons, or about €5bn in terms of monetary value. Production of cement grew by almost 13%, and a figure in excess of 20% is expected in 2007.
